2. The service

Editorial Conductor is an AI-powered manuscript review platform. Users upload chapter text or a full manuscript and receive structured editorial feedback generated by ten specialist AI agents across five stages: continuity, craft, depth, market, and synthesis.

The Service is provided via the website at editorial-conductorai.com and any related subdomains or applications that link to these Terms.

AI-generated feedback is provided for informational and editorial guidance purposes only. It does not constitute professional publishing, legal, or financial advice. You remain solely responsible for your manuscript and any publishing decisions you make.

3. Account registration

To use the Service you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make purchases. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used fraudulently, or where we are required to do so by law.

4. Credits and billing

The Service operates on a credit system. One credit covers a complete ten-agent analysis of one chapter. Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe and credited to your account immediately on successful payment.

Credits are only deducted after a successful analysis completes. If an analysis fails for any reason, no credit is charged.

Credits do not expire. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or monthly fees unless explicitly stated at the time of purchase. All prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes.

New accounts receive a number of free credits on signup as stated on the pricing page at the time of registration. We reserve the right to change free credit allocation at any time for new sign-ups.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Refunds

Unused credits are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the original purchase date, provided no credits from that purchase have been used to run an analysis.

Used credits — credits that have already been applied to a completed analysis — are non-refundable.

If a credit pack is partially used, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis at our discretion, within the 7-day window.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

To request a refund, visit editorial-conductorai.com/refund or email support@editorial-conductorai.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Your content

You retain full ownership of all manuscript text, series bibles, and other content you upload to the Service ("Your Content").

By uploading Your Content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process it for the sole purpose of generating your editorial report. We do not use Your Content to fine-tune or train the underlying AI models. Your manuscripts are never shared with third parties for training purposes.

Writer Memory (opt-in). If you enable the Writer Memory feature, patterns identified across your analyses — such as recurring strengths, weaknesses, and style notes — are stored in your account and used to personalise future reviews. This data is specific to your account, never shared with other users, and never used to train AI models. You can view, disable, or permanently delete your memory profile at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy.

Service improvement. We may use aggregated, anonymised signals from analyses (not your manuscript text) to improve the quality of agent prompts and editorial calibration over time. No individual manuscript content is retained for this purpose.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any content you submit. Do not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third party's rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI models or system prompts
  • Use automated tools to generate bulk analysis requests beyond normal use
  • Share, resell, or sublicence access to the Service without our written permission
  • Circumvent any technical measures we use to protect the Service

Breach of this section may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

8. Intellectual property

All rights in the Editorial Conductor platform, including its design, software, agent architecture, branding, and generated report structure, belong to Colabs.Tech Limited or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

The editorial findings, scores, and summaries generated for your chapter are provided to you for your personal use. You may use them to revise your manuscript but may not reproduce or republish them as standalone editorial products.

9. Privacy and data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you agree to that policy.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller under UK GDPR. Our ICO registration number is ZC142951.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that the AI feedback will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Editorial judgment remains yours.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Colabs.Tech Limited's total liability to you in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profits, loss of data, or damage to reputation, even if we were advised of the possibility of such losses.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. Where we discontinue a paid feature we will provide reasonable notice and credit or refund unused credits where appropriate.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint, please contact us at support@editorial-conductorai.com first. We will do our best to resolve it directly before any formal proceedings are considered.

Ask me anything

Hi! I'm the Editorial Conductor assistant. Ask me anything — how the agents work, what a credit gets you, how series bibles work, or anything else about the product.
