## The Nine Agents

Stage 1 — Pre-Flight (continuity and story logic):
- Series Continuity Keeper: checks chapter against the user-supplied series bible; flags character facts, timeline, world rules, and cross-book contradictions
- Structural Architect: evaluates scene function, chapter pacing, and structural fit within the series

Stage 2 — Craft (sentence and paragraph level):
- Line Editor: sharpens clarity, rhythm, and line energy
- Copy Editor: grammar, punctuation, consistency
- Voice Consistency Agent: detects register drift against the established POV and diction

Stage 3 — Depth (thematic and emotional):
- Thematic Coherence Reader: checks whether the chapter serves the series thematic through-line
- Emotional Truth Validator: flags scenes where emotional logic mismatches character motivation

Stage 4 — Market + Merit (external perspective):
- Literary Agent Simulation: evaluates commercial positioning and submission readiness
- Award Jury Reader: prize-quality read for literary distinction and ambition

## Staging logic
